01 · The problem
From scattered data to a clear plan
School inspection teams need to decide where limited time and resources will have the greatest impact.
The project explored how inspection history, geographical overview and school resource data could support planning within the DHIS2 ecosystem.
Design question: How might inspectors identify priority schools, plan visits and document inspections in one coherent workflow?
02 · The process
Designing within a system
The DHIS2 design system gave the interface consistency while domain scenarios shaped the workflow.
We mapped the path from regional overview to school selection and inspection. Iterative prototypes helped us balance map-based exploration with searchable tables and detailed historical information.
- 01Priority must be legible both geographically and in lists.
- 02Previous inspections provide essential context before a visit.
- 03The inspection form should minimise repeated work in the field.
03 · The outcome
One inspection workflow
The final platform connects visit planning, map-based prioritisation and inspection records.
Inspectors can search regions, compare schools, review earlier findings, create an inspection and record updated resource information using familiar DHIS2 patterns.
